I believe that green terrors have orange on their caudal fin and the acaras do not. But it should be rather easy to tell the differance between full-grown specimens.

Hit the nail on the head with that one, but can be hard to tell sometimes (especially if fish have been confined to small lfs tanks) would suggest checking profiles for photo comparison

I don't think my GT look like any of the pictures of blue acaras I have seen. My GT doesn't have any of those verticle strips.

I have these fish in the same tank and i can definatley tell the difference. My blue acara has yellow on the top of it's fins and the GT has more of a greenish facial marking..

Because they are both differant colours and greent's have got a more stuk out face that a blue acara.
