He told me they keep their blue rams in pH of 7.4. The pH in my tank is 7.5, so I decided to give it a try. |

If you're hoping to breed, or just trying cichlids for the first time, I'd suggest the Bolivian Ram, as their native waters are alkaline (about 7.4), and they are hardier than the Blues. |

Just tell the people working there that rams are sensitive to water changes, so you'de rather go supplier's water to your own rather than stoping in half way. If they say the water is the same, tell them you peat filter to lowwer the ph or something. |
