What is everyone's experience with these fish? Are they hard to take care of? Any tricks to keeping them alive? What kind of environment do they like best, etc, etc? If you think they are hard to fragile, what other fish would you suggest? It would be with angels, dojo, zebra loaches, hatchet fish (or some other sort of small tetra). Thanks! Jen |

Bolivian rams are actually quite hardy, and easy fish to care for. They are quite colorful, and are a great addition to a community tank, and would be fine in yours. On the other hand, German rams can be delicate. They are difficult to acclimate, and are somewhat more sensitive to water conditions. Otherwise, Bolivian rams and German rams are pretty similar fish. |
