Will the rams eat them? I don't want them to eat them because they help keep my tank clear of algae problems.

i dont think so but my danio ate one when the poor thing went for some food. i believe they are intended as a feeder.

Rams have a pretty small mouth, and don't really bother with other critters. I don't think they would try to eat the shrimp. If they did, you could try a snail, or a bigger shrimp.

I'm keeping a blue ram with one in a 10 gal. right now. It's only been in for about two or three weeks (moved it over from the 33 where it had recently been de-throned by the other two) and so far no problems at all.

I have 2 Bolivians Rams with 4 Amano Shrimps and they are existing together peacefully. The Rams ignores the shrimps and show no agression whatsoever.

My experience is the same as sly's. It's as if my Ram doesn't even know the shrimp exist.
