I also am trying to breed these and i have a male and 2 females and have had no luck. |

Sera Activant $ Fishtamin) Make sure you have enough caves for them to form territory |

That might do something as well.... and..if your temp is 28...it will be too hot for your goldfish..it will shorten it's life...to mix goldfish with tropicals..I say 25 is their limit |

Week End![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Big Fish Posts: 414 Kudos: 436 Votes: 1 Registered: 16-May-2004 ![]() ![]() | I say it's better to talk the goldfish to another home, the temp for electric blue's are a bit hot for goldfish..but if u lower it it will be a bit too cool for the blue's try feed some frozen Brine and Mysis shrimps see if that makes them happy for how often u do water change..you can monitor your nitrate levels to see the exact time interval u need to do water changes....generally if u can keep below 40ppm within a time interval..then you are doing enough (although some people might say it's slack...but I do think 40ppm is reasonable for freshwater's..except Discus of course) and 25% - 30% water change each time [span class="edited"][Edited by Lindy 2004-06-29 08:01][/span] |

Week End![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Big Fish Posts: 414 Kudos: 436 Votes: 1 Registered: 16-May-2004 ![]() ![]() | the fact that your fish keep eating is a good sign...fish should also be hungry, give about 5 min feeding time for them each day...maybe like 3 min for their breakfast and 2 for their dinner...just feed as much as they can eat within these times and avoid food left over on your graval unless you are intended to do so to feed your bottom feeders..avoid feeding them extras even when they all swimming around the front begging for food... weekly water change is fine..and what u mean making your fish fat or leave them normal? you will also find some fish in your tank are fat and some are skinny compare to the fat ones...that's normal..as long as they are not all fat or skinny when a fish is dead and u dun see signs of disease such as white spots fin rotting's etc..you better check your water paramemters..NH4..NO2..PH..NO3..make sue they not far off |
