i have an oscar in my 55 gallon with my 2 dempseys but i am in the process of getting aother tank for just him, but it won't be here for like 2 weeks so would be able to move my oscar in to my 20 gallon long for like 2 weeks??? he's about 6"

I would not do it beacause I fear that water quality may become an issue.

I tend to agree with Jason. Why would you want to move him? Seems like the best answer is to just leave him in the 55 with the dempsys.
