I've had a single angel for seven months, it lives with black phantom tetras, keyholes, a Bolivian ram, BN, cories, and kribs. It's ~3.5" now and doesn't show agression towards any of its tankmates.

I have the space available but would adding another angel be asking for problems?

I really doubt it would cause any problems. Even if you did end up with a breeding pair, the other fish in your tank are tough enough to handle them. I would say go ahead and enjoy!
My angels are attempting their 4th clutch of eggs tonight, I sure hope this one works out! It really is amazing to watch them care for the eggs! Definetly worthwhile if you ask me. I find angels to be one of the most friendly, intelligent fish, I think you would really enjoy watching 2 interact, whether they be m/f or f/f or m/m (think this would be OK but ask others as well)

You can put another one in there. I do it all the time when I'm trying to get another pair.

Thanks, that's helpful

I don't know the sex of my angel, so do same sex pairs get along? Also, the new one would be young (small), would the size difference pose a problem?

no size wont be a problem, just make sure you re-arrange the decor to confuse the oler larger one.

Size difference could be a plus, I've had a large Angel protect a new smaller Angel from other fish (A Gold Severum twice the size of the Angel). Also the sex doesn't matter if there is only 2.

What kind are you looking for?

Have fun, Mike

I'm not really sure. I have a black lace, and you can see by my stock list the rest of the fish are in the blacks & greys. Not another black lace, but something that would fit into that theme. I don't want an albino, and I'm pretty sure I don't want all black. One lfs usually has a fantastic selection of angels so shopping should be fun.
