Ummm...an aquarist perhaps?

Welcome to the site.

I like all the cichlids that Nick posted, shelldwellers are just my favorite FW guys. The multi and the brevis are adorable.

And I know how the whole lack of money thing works, I'm only 15 too...

But 16 in TWO MORE WEEKS!

Okay I'm done now.

thanks, so do u think they will die soon, because rite now they are in the tank chillen and active.. because there is no way i can afford a 55 gallon, then i would need a new heater, more gravel, a better powerfilter, not to mention hoods lights and more deco, because i am only 15, but yeh im probably just gonna see how they do

(BY the way, does anyone know what job is this called" a person who likes to study fish and ovserve their behaviors)

There are plenty of cichlids that will fit in a twenty gallon tank, but Jack Dempseys aren't one of them. They can top eight inches in length, so a fifty-five gallon tank would be more suited to these fish.

Some of the cichlids that can live in a twenty include: Rams, Apistogrammas, festivums, keyholes, curviceps, checkerboard cichlids, and most shelldweller species. I don't know what you are looking for, but this list will start you off with the small enough cichilds.

I hope this helped you, welcome to the site!

First and foremost: 2 JD's will not have enough room in a 20 gallon tank! they need at least a 55 gallon.. those fish get 8"+. The food you listed, however, they will eat no problem. Also standard flake, and cichlid pellets as they get older will help supplement their diet.
In due time, your guppies will disappear. No worries there! Hope this helps

75 gallon: A. Baenschi trio,Cyanotilapia Afra Cobwe(4), copadichromis trewavase, protomelas sp. tangerine tiger(breeding pair)
