i know this is probably gng to sound like a stupid question but i was wondering if there was a possibility that albino cories and grant's peacock cichlids could live in the same tank peacefully.. ive had cories with electric yellows before and they were fine..

has anyone tried this?

I wouldn't mix them due to the different water parameters, as Corydoras need a 6.8ph & the Cichlids need a 7.5ph.

Most corydoras species are able to live in a pH of 7.5

In fact I keep C. Leucomelas in 7.6 and have had only 1 loss out of 11 purchased a few months ago. honestly, pH does not seem to be a factor in this situation. I really don't know the behavior of a peacock cichid though so I'm not sure if he would pick on/try to eat the cories or not.

the peacocks seem pretty quiet.. i have just introduced two electric yellows and two other cichlids (im trying to identify they were called mpungas...or something like that) and the peacocks really havent seem bothered.. if anything they are hiding) i might wait till they get a bit bigger (still toddlers and try adding a few to teh tank and seeing what happens. if they start to get picked on i might rescue them..

does this sound like a good idea?
