I've had a pair of 2" convicts torment and almost kill a 5" common plec. The convicts also killed a 3" red devil overnight when they when they first paired off. They were only about 1.5" at the time. The convicts usurped the Texan's cave to breed and once they bred, the Texan kept trying to get back in his cave. One morning, the babies were all gone and the female convict was missing an eye. The male also attacked me hand when I was cleaning the tank. In sjort, I wouldn't recommend anything with the convicts, especially in a tank that small. |

The cats are still doing good though and can hold their own. They are currently in the tank with 1 salvini, 1 convict, 1 texas and 1 GT all male if I have them identified right and 1 female jewel that I am thinking of giving away. |
