He also has a common plec which I have told him may grow too big but he refuses to part with it. Its probably already stunted as the person who gave him the tank, gave it to him with the current stock & he has already had it for 3yrs, & I haven't noticed the plec grow anymore. Probably about 8in right now. Anyway what can he put in there w/ the convicts, as I know they can be rather aggressive especially during spawning. He wanted a JD but I have advised him against it b/c a 55 probably won't be enough space. The convicts are full grown and there are clearly two couples. Some other choices would include a school of tiger barbs, firemouth cichlid, blue acara, or even a red tail or rainbow sharks. But it's like you also stated these guys are very aggressive and will attack almost anything during spawning no matter what size. |

I'd say a big school of tiger barbs would be about the only thing I'd add to the tank. ![]() Last edited by jason_r_s at 27-Feb-2005 21:30 |

I think a juvi shark wouldn't stand a chance. I'll let em know about the suggestions you guys have made though, thanx. By all means marry; if you get a good wife, you'll be happy.
