what are the dimensions of your 26 gallon tank? you might be able to get away with a female convict, but I wouldn't put a male in there. Males can get to 6" and slightly larger, females to around 5".

one note on your tank though, yoyos do much better in groups rather than being kept alone. Personally, if I were you I'd get rid of the loach and get a couple more corys. Or trade in the corys for more loaches. A school of loaches and a school of corys would likely be too many bottom feeders for a 26 gallon.

my tank is about 75 cm long , 40 wide and 40 deep.
i do not want to get rid of my loach , when i brought it it was the only one in the tank & it is happy.

how can you tell males and females apart?

are there any other fish i could get ( like 2 angels or 2 gouramis ( honey ) )

thanks
