i have a 27 gallon with 2 convicts both smaller than 2 inches one just a inch will i be able to but some shelldwellers in with these guys they are both none aggresive as i had some other cichlids but gave them to my sister for her new tank

I definitely wouldn't. They need different water parameters, will be fighting over the same area of the tank, and the shelldwellers either, depending on species, won't be able to handle the Cons, or will rip them to shreds given time to mature.

The Cons may be 2" and calm now, but they'll mature soon enough and be a real danger to anything smaller than they are, especially if you have a male and a female.

Certainly not. As mentioned, there will be compatibility issues water and temperament-wise, and the convicts alone are too much for that tank. Plus, convicts get really mean once they mature a little. If you move them though, the shellies would be great in there.

Even just the fish size issue alone! The convicts are 2" and growing to how big..? I am very sure they would enjoy the shellies as a meal once their mouths get big enough...
