well, after about 10 days, the fries hatched, and are free swimming. there are 5 rummy nose, 2 SAE and 2 otos in the tank along with a mini clown pleco.

yesterday, the fries are still swimming near where they hatched, this morning right before i fed them i still see them swimming near the parents. but when i fed them, the other fish came nearby, and so the parents took in the fries in the mouths.... the porblem is... i havent see the fries out yet, and its been 30 minutes... how long can they hold them?? or did my other fish ate them and i didnt see?

Mmmm, I think they ate them.

Angels will eat their fry if they think they are threatened. I've never witnessed my angels take a whole clutch of fry into their mouths and later release them.

I have seen my angels retrieve one or two fry that strayed from the rest of the school and hold it/them in their mouth for maybe a minute or two, apparently chewing the fry over gently to either clean or instill respect, who knows? Anyway, when they spit a retrived fry out, it swims into the school apparently unharmed.

I would be surprised if you see the fry released unharmed.

I also think that the parents ate the fry. I never saw mine picking all the fry & release them again. They only pick up 1 or 2 & place them near the others.
If you want your Angels to breed peacefully, you can place them in a tank on their own, with a piece of slate, so they can breed on it.

well yeah the fries are gone...

i dont have another tank to breed them, but i sure like to see the fries grow up, next time i am planning on just dividing the tank. should i give the angels more room? or should i only give them little room and leave the rest of the tank to the other fish?

If the mesh is not very very fine, the fry will pass right through it (and be eaten on the other side). I would allow at least 20 gallons space for the pair and their spawn.
