I've never witnessed my angels take a whole clutch of fry into their mouths and later release them. I have seen my angels retrieve one or two fry that strayed from the rest of the school and hold it/them in their mouth for maybe a minute or two, apparently chewing the fry over gently to either clean or instill respect, who knows? Anyway, when they spit a retrived fry out, it swims into the school apparently unharmed. I would be surprised if you see the fry released unharmed. |

I never saw mine picking all the fry & release them again. They only pick up 1 or 2 & place them near the others. If you want your Angels to breed peacefully, you can place them in a tank on their own, with a piece of slate, so they can breed on it. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
