they are beautiful in a way but when i see them, i cant help but think "frankenstien". maybe its due to the large heads. they go for hundreds though! craziness.

anyone own one?

if i had one, id name it "lindsay" as in lindsay "luo han". get it? haha. *nudge-nudge, wink-wink*

yeah, im now the prowd owner of one of these babies.i never use to keep hybrids but he was free,so i kept him.despite what people have told me and what ive herd, half of it is bulldust, ive have mine in a take by him self(of course due to aggression)all he has done is peck throught the gravel and eat whatever i give him,he has NOT wrecked anything, infact my oscars have caused me more probs.anyway i think they are a great fish, however i dont really know much about them yet.but am looking.

I personnly have got little interest in them as well...primary reason is..I think they just look ugly..... yea...but besides that...they are too aggressive and like to take over the whole tank...if I have to get cichlids, I go for Malawian's

i think taking over the tank is a territory thing, they just have to be boss.but i really wouldnt even try him with other fish those teeth could realy inflict bad injury.im not sure, but ive herd the longer they are by themself the more aggresive they get,i think they get more aggresive with age too.but dont quote me im still new to these guys.

yeah, a big thing also is what you keep with em. i hear alot of people keep em with asian aros and rays with no problem. but then again, nothing is messing with an asian aro. as for luo hans ive seen some lovely ones and ive seen some ugly ones but all of them are unique. im kinda on the fence of hybrids though too.

flower horns are used for fighting like abetta. these fishes are bred to fight, now recently have been discovered for beauty. i under stand that since they are hybreds that most people won't like them, but i think that they are lovly.

lots of great info ive been coming across on these guys. they are the new feng shui fish, they are suppose to bring good luck and prosperity to those who own one. the last one was the asian arowana.

im thinking of getting one but i dont want it beating the hell outta my ray and or clown loaches.

the more research i do on these guys though, the more i like em.
