Do you think 1 oscar and 6 electric yellows could get along in a 77 gallon tank??

Id make sure that the yellows are fully grown and the oscar isnt that big, but i think they prefer diffrent ph if im not mistaken so i dont think its too good of an idea.

I doubt it. SA and African chichlids do not usually mix. They require different phs. Mumbas like labs are very agressive for their size and an oscar will eat smaller fish. You'll likely have a war between the two fish. Also, I don't think your tank is large enough.

NO, No, No.

Different fish, from different parts of the world.
Way different dietary needs.
Different tank set-up, etc.

NO, No, No.

as others have said this would be a bad idea. the key factors here are the very different dietary requirements and the fact that in just a few months the oscar would be able to swallow the electric yellows.

I tend to agree with everyone else. Not really a good ideal. Are you possibly wanting to add some other type of cichlid in with your oscar? You would probably be best trying another SA cichlid like a JD,Red Devil,or a green terror. But also your tank is probably about the miniumn size needed to keep these guys together.

nope

Those cats grow really slow.
Oscars grow much faster.
The cat could be easily fit in its mouth after a couple months.
Those cat enjoy much harder water than the oscar.

Well, the cat could work out, if it is much bigger than the oscar when you introduce them. That way, the oscar won't outgrow it. Although I love the way oscars and JDs look together, I think a JD might pick on the oscar. The best bet is to introduce them when they are young. Or, you could buy an oscar that is bigger than the Dempsey.

Well an oscar will always outgrow a Multi as they dont exceed 6". Try to find a Syno Angelicus or Decorus at a good size as they both get 8"+. Angelicus are awesome, but may run you a pretty penny at a good size. That would be a perfect tank.
