I fed mine a variety of pellets, flake food when it was smaller, brine shrimp, blood worms, beefheart, silversides when it got bigger, and guppies that I bred for the purpose of being feeders. (No Petco feeders for Miss Rose!)

Oscars will eat almost anything. I feed mine mostly blood worms and pellets as a staple; however, I also occasionally give him earth worms, crickets, spiders, tadpoles, and if you have acess to a lake those little water beatle thingies that swim around on the top of the water make good food also.
