HOKESE Mega Fish Posts: 1105 Kudos: 478 Votes: 271 Registered: 22-Feb-2003	hi everyone.i got given a flowerhorn yesterday.i dont normally keep hybrids but he was free and i had a spare tank up and running so i kept him.can anyone tell me and handy tips for keepin these guys.cheers hokese

bettachris Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3875 Kudos: 4173 Votes: 452 Registered: 13-Jun-2004	when my uncle had his, he had a pair in a 175 gallon long with some rainbow fishes,neons,golden sevneral,and a pelco. how they got along with the ranibows and neons anyway he got rid of them b/c they were just too aggressive, but i would guess that it is very sim to a parrot fish. large tank, a few rocks, slate, plants, good food.

HOKESE Mega Fish Posts: 1105 Kudos: 478 Votes: 271 Registered: 22-Feb-2003	thanx for the link,it was great.your uncle was lucky to have his flowerhorns in with other fish.the guy i got mine from had three together,and the one i own killed the other two,(they can be very ive read).when i give him feeders he goes nuts and godhelp the feeder,i can see that he is really aggresive,thats why i decided not to try any other fish with him,he only has three teeth but they are like needles...ouch.he has even started to attack my magnetic glass cleaner.
