Is this the same tank your planning to put your oscars into????

I think you'll be able to add around 4 maybe 5 Fronts. But it depends on what else your going to keep in the tank.

start off w/ around 10-12 juvies, as they get older seperate the females from the males by venting]http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/frontosa_sexing.php[/link] them, keep the females and sell all but one of the males, [link=the lower half of this page should also help you greatly

just to be curious, which one of these are you getting (i personally like the Zaire Blue and the Mpimbwe)
how big are they,
are they F1's, wild caught, or tank raised? how much would you be paying 4 them?

yea, i figure they were burundi, almost all LFS ones are, that's a good price also, we get our here $20, i'm gonna be getting the mpimbwe 4 a 125 for $10 per fish+ shipping

it depends on the male to female ratio 4 how many you have in the tank, the females don't get as large as males

4get the haps, there malawi, fronts are tangs, i don't like to mix the lakes, and 15 would be a few 2 many, when the fish are full grown you MIGHT be able to get 5 in there

i prefer a ratio of 1:4 w/ females dominating, and you'll have a good chance of a spawn then

i agree. 5 would be the most you would want to keep in there for any amount of time, especially full-grown ones. i wouldnt recommend keeping haps with them either. they just dont belong. chances are the diets would be tough on one or the other. also, the fronts are piscivores and will eat a sleeping hap if it will fit in its mouth. i am sure someone has kept fronts with haps and mbuna, but it isnt good on paper. personally, i would use the 135 for malawi haps or mbuna. the fronts just sit still all day, the mbuna and haps would be more lively. i am not disrespecting the fronts, they are cool fish, but there are other cool fish that would be great in there too.
