I don't think you have a great deal of space to consider other tankmates after the 10-15 fronts - maybe a few Calvus, for example, if you choose to go with fewer fronts e.g ten.

I keep a group of 6 7-stripe Fronts in a 210. Their tankmates are a whole mix of Malawi and Tanganyikan (don't anyone even THINK of flaming me for that mix! It's been 2 years and not a single fish loss or aggression problem!). They do great with everyone - why don't you consider cynotilapia afra; c. moori (blue dolphin), neolamp cylindricus, altolamp calvus or compressiceps? My silver dollars do great and fill the top part of the tank (the fronts tend to stay toward the bottom in my experience). I also have bosemani rainbows that take to the top and balas. But if you are looking for cichlids specifically, I'd say there's not much you couldn't put in with the fronts. Mine are as gentle as can be!

the two lfs that have them both said i could put 15 fronts into the 135usg. so i went with their advice, but if its best to do less thats fine. itll save me $150 and space for other cichlids.
so far i like the a. calvus and c. moori but im still on the search for more
