Are the parents guarding them? 2 options - leave them in there for the parents to protect and care for them, or take them out and put them in a growout tank. You can feed them crushed fine flake food, or baby brine shrimp (easy to hatch and raise), or a little egg yolk hard boiled and broken up in the water - though it is easier to feed egg if youre using a bare bottom grow out tank, as it contaminates the water quite quickly. I do not think they will survive if you leave them b/c of the cory cats. They seem to manage to dwindle the numbers down. If there is a large disturbance than the parents will eat their fry as well IME. If you want to keep them remove the fry and put them in a growout tank. carpe_diem![]() ![]() Fish Addict *Dreamer* Posts: 555 Kudos: 292 Votes: 51 Registered: 18-Apr-2004 ![]() ![]() | thanks for your replies... sorry i havent been on.. set up another tank it is around the 10g mark ... i have set a sponge filter up in there .. i have on hooked it up to an air pump is that right ? i left it without gravel as well ?? i have never set up a breeding tank before as usually i just put the fry in breeding nets in the main tank. i managed to get most of the fry out however it was quite difficult as they kept swimming towards to gravel. i left some with the parents but they have all disappeared since. i have been feeding the fry liquid food for the moment. im so hoping these survive so any tips would be graet! thanks for your help! ![]() |
