i need some fish the will keep my agressive discus busy so he isn't picking on ym other discus... any suggestions? i have seen that the angelfish in the tank seems to keep off some of the agression so would more angelfish help diffuse the discus's agression?

Actually, I wouldn't use angels as dithers. A good schooling fish would be better. Cardinal tetras are my favorite and blue rams also look good with discus. The ram in my tank chases after everyone, but isn't really aggressive.

I don't know where you got the info about the rams requiring different parameters, but rams go quite well with discus. I keep a male with mine and he's doing fine.
