can discus be kept in a juwel rio 240 (121cm x55x41)
or a juwel bowfront 260 Aquarium Size: 121L x 62H x 46W cm.

if so what how many in each and what is the best decoration for a discus tank, and what type of other fish can be kept with them?
phantoms, neons, cardinals, pl*cos?

cheers shekoi.

ok the 260 would be a good size discus tank ... a 65g tank

decorate with tall plants and with bog wood and plenty of places to hide away ...... getthe following fish:

20 cardinals
6 discus
10 ottos
10 cories

6x2x2 - Firemouth and Oscar Tank
30+ royal pythons.

Back in the game after 4 years out ..

Hi I keep mine in the juwel 190 bow front tank. I have plants tall and short and bogwood. I have rummy noses, rams, and neons. Hope that helps.

Rio 240 is roughly 53 uk gallon (65 usg).
Cardinals, neons, rummy nose, rams, cories and some plecs are usual additions and usually work well.
Some plecs can be pretty dodgy though due to some of them developing a taste for the discus slime coat.
My only problems with the juwel tanks were I wasn't completley happy with the built in filter, I ended up replacing them with ehiems, but its only personal choice.

Stocking suggestions, 4 discus, 15 tets, 6 cories, 1 bristlenose plec.

hth

Cheers

Kenny
