if i cover almost the entire bottom of my tank with rocks but not very high how often do u think ill see then go up to the middle and top layers of the tank the fish will be yellow labs and cobalt blues

though i've never kept the fish u've mentioned i believe you'll see them frequently as these fish r quite active. U'll definately see them in feeding time!

You will actually see them more than if you were to build two taller towers. I built some towers to get them to the middle. They were scared and hid.

Funny thing is that when I kept the structures with rocks quite low and across the breatdth of the tank they actually came out to the mid area MORE. They just felt safer when there was more coverage.

At least that was my experience with my little experiment. (my stock include electric yellow, Hongi Island & kingsizeii)

I would suggest against covering the entire bottom in rocks. The labs like open sand to play and sift in. I have 2 big towers and a big wall and all my fish love to play out in the open. Its a lot easier to clean the tank with rocks stacked than them laying all around.

i leave the front center open n build the rest up in rocks surrounding a few smallerer open areas n i also make my caves up in levels some reaching rite to the surface n my fish love it i have 400+lbs of rock 5 silk plants 1 live plant 8 yellows 10cyanohabdoes 2 damonsoni 4 kribs 6 red x reds 6 khulies 1bn plec 1 abf and 1 small small jack dempsey that will b moved all my fish are active n always out i run atinic liting n if left in thedark for more then an hour if i turn on the lites the only fish i see r a few khulies n my butterfly fish
the more rocks the more ull see ur fish
