I have 2 young about 3 inch GT and 3 2 and a half inch black convicts in a 50 gal tank. my convicts are 2 females and 1 male . and GT male and female. the male and female GT are always fighting but the convicts dont really bug em unless they go into their area. i was wondering is the tank big enough , oh and another quik question my convicts wont kill fish or feed on top of the tank they wait for it to sink? any suggestions on fish for them to eat or why they wont go to the top of the tank to feed?

well that tank is voerstocked, GT will grow very large, and are very agressive. and convicts are the same. so i find it odd, how they are liveing together with no problems.

they proabably aren't going to the top, but they aren't 100% comffy.

Yes i know the tank will be overstocked soon but they are very small right now like i said earlier my convicts are bigger than my GT's and the biggest fish in the tank is 2 and a half inches. I know that GT can grow up to 12 inches and in about 3 months i will be getting a 150 possibly a 200 gallon. But i was wondering why convicts wernt going to the top of the tank and killing feeders..

I've had several convicts that would not eat feeders. so long as they're eating other foods like krill, pellets etc I wouldn't worry.

Maybe try some Glass shrimp. My female Con (about 2.5 inches) eats the crap out of them. I have seen her eat about 5 or 6 one inchers in a few minutes. Lets just say there were tails hanging out of her mouth. My male con who is about 5 or 6 inches isn't nearly as good of a hunter.

You will have to check with your LFS. Two of mine used to have them but now only one does. Another option might be to order them online. At the place that still has them they are 4 for a Doller. Not super cheap but not too bad.
