	jack dempsey Qusetion.....
coolwater Enthusiast Posts: 199 Kudos: 337 Votes: 1 Registered: 12-Dec-2003	I have 2 Jack Dampsey in my mixed cichlid tank. Today I noticed that they are (what looks like) kissing and locking mouths together. Also one of my other cichlids is always trying to interfer. Are they Mating? And if so should I move then to one of my spare tanks? They are about 2 inches and just changed color last month. In the tank i have one 3 inch female Cobolt bule, which protects them from the others. And a another about 2 inches I can't remenber it name. It is black with yellow stripes down its side. This one is the one that like to interfer. Any suggestions?

Cichlid Keeper Big Fish Posts: 368 Kudos: 466 Votes: 304 Registered: 17-Aug-2003	Sounds as if you may have a possible territorial dispute on your hands. So redoing your landscaping may possibly solve the problem. Also, How many other cichlids do you have in this tank and How big are your JD's? How big is your tank also?
