i have to jack dempseys in a 55 gallon one male and one female is there anything else i can put in the tank other the a pleco??

That tank is pretty much full, espcially with the pair. You could try a schoal of Giant Danios since they have some size to them and are quick.

Angelfish. I think it's the way they're shaped, the Jacks don't see them as competition.

there are many setups that may work for one or 2 people, but in general they are a bad idea. this is such an example. while keeping angels and JD's together in a 55 might have worked for one person, this is not something that will work often. 9/10 times the JD's (especially if they start breeding) will wind up killing the much slower and defenseless angels.

Giant Danios are quick..have had 1 in 90 gallon with oscar and dempsey for 2 years...however I did start with 4...
