i had a eureka red for sometime. they are quite a bit more aggressive than your usual peacocks (stuartgranti, baenschi etc..) they also get a bit larger. they will reach 6" in most case (males). they need very large tanks to thrive (90g and up)and will become hyperdominant if stressed out. they are omnivores and love nls pellets, mysis shrimp and fry. very beautiful and gracefull. i have an albino male right now that is about 3.5" and is awesome.

hey, i have 8 eureka red in my 70g tank and they are doing fine, you need to be lucky enough to get a male to domanant to show his colours i have 2 domanant males at the moment to get my other males to colour you need to take the domanant ones out until others take over the tank, they love flakes, pellets, and brine shrimp, i have them in with german reds, electra blues, yellows, colour quality is also a big issues with these fish you need to find some that have come from good breeding lines to get the true colour of these fish, overall great fish to have and beutiful colours any more questions just write back happy to help

30 gallon is far too small. they get at least 5-6" and are somewhat aggressive. i'd go with a 45 or 55 minimum.
