There are no live bearing cichlids. There are some mouthbrooders which carry the eggs in their mouths and the fry, too, after they hatch, but no live bearers.

Did she mean the live fry come out mouthwise or from the other end??

If it comes out from the mouth, most likely its an african cichlid, being orange, most likely a zebra cichlid.

Heres a pic, the colors do look a little different, from shades of white yellow red etc.

colbat zeebs are one of my favs they are a little fish but with one of the biggest fights i have ever seen. my male had a fully grown venustus shaking in its boots(fins). i had to sell the venustus and the zeeb now ocupies the 55g tank with his arch enemy Mr auratus one occupies each end and at feeding time its war on. they are around the same size 4inches.

Depends what sized tank. Usually the zebras perfer to be in a colony, but I've seen them being kept singly or in pairs.

Its not "reccomended" but i've done it before, and it worked fine. Just make sure the zebra is larger or the same sized.

If it's the zebra cichlid no they are not livebearers as stated here. These guys however grow from about 6-8 inches.

I have seen many adults, very beautiful fish. I own 2 myself
