You could try one of the smaller pufferfish.

seeing as they are carnivores what about if i get 1 maybe 2 emerald cichlids (chocolate cichlids) i have this really nice pieces of drift wood and i would feed it live insects and they only get to about 14-17cms would that be an idea?

I'd go for a breeding pair of convicts...or a related species like C. spilurum, C. sajica or C. nanoluteus. These fish definitely have an attitude.
