I have a 110 gallon Malawi hap tank with 6 copadichromis borleyi, 3 VC-10, 3 c. moori, and 5 red peacocks. I've noticed that the copadichromis have marks on their bodies that almost look like someone took a very fine paint brush and put faint white lines on the fish. The markings come and go. They are not raised. It almost looks like rub marks or scratches. There is not a lot of aggression in the tank, but the dominant male VC-10 and the male peacock will chase fish around the tank quite frequently. I've not noticed the fish being run into the rocks, but I can't find a disease that resembles what these markings look like. The marks do not show up in photos. Do any of you know what these fine white lines could be? The reason I thought these were rub marks is because they always seem to run along the length of the fish, not up and down. They also seem to fade and reappear, and never seem to progress any further or cause any harm to the fish.
