He killed my brothers eqaul size oscar. he cant hurt the other O he is huge and mean and the jag is fine 2 but he still flies all the way accross the tank for battle even though they give him like 3 foot to himself. Any ideas? my lfs said i should start over with little fish but i really love grim (rd) and shadow (jag) my syno's kick his but other than that he pretty muich outclasses everyone (or will when he even out in size) thanks andy |

Jason_R_S       Moderator Posts: 2811 Kudos: 2421 Votes: 391 Registered: 18-Apr-2001   | well, your lfs is probably right (don't say that too often  ). that's just the devil's personality. you can't make him less aggressive. only thing that might work is taking out all the cichlids, rearranging everything and reintroducing the cichlids from least to most aggressive allowing each one a while to get used to the tank before introducing the next one. I really doubt this would work but it may be worth a shot.  |

They keep really cool stuff like morays and the like so they know plus they are very small Fair enuff i didnt want to get rid off my jag was the main thing But he and my brothers big oscar have become buddy so he is goin to his 6 foot gonna start over next week. Grow them up in the big tank instead off seperate because my rd thinks he is bullet proof But i decided to keep him as well he is gettin his own 4' x 2' now lol |
