I have set up a 55 gallon tank and I am stuck. I am trying to come up with a good combination for cichlids that make for a colorful tank and are compatible. Any ideas are appreciated....thanks

If you want colorful you might want to go malawian cichlids. Theres a really big list of them...but generally most common ones are zebras, electric yellows, afras, mbunas, peacocks.

I would get a group of 6 or so Electric yellows, then maybe a couple of different species of the genus pseutotropheus. They are colorful and, well as compatible as african cichlids can be!
