Rams
Keyholes
Kribs
Shelldwellers

These are good for a 20. Though I am sure there are a few more.

I'll do graffiti,

If you did rams you could have other schooling fish on top and other types of fish but with shelldwellers they would probably do best in a species tank (ps they are really cool!!!!!)

you could possibly do 2-3 [link=yellow labs]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/electricyellow.xml" style="COLOR: #00FF00[/link], or maybe even some [link=Rusties]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/rusty.xml" style="COLOR: #00FF00[/link]

Possibly even go with 2-3 yellow labs and [link=1-2 Aceis]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/acei.xml" style="COLOR: #00FF00[/link] They make a beautiful combination...and my aceis were so wonderful and had such personalities...

Just be sure to use some Texas Holey Rock to build caves and places for them to hide in...those are three of my favorite mbunas that did well together, just be sure to find something that goes well together and that you can enjoy...heidi

Pair of fish from the neolamprologus complex, leleupi, jewel cichlids, curviceps, pair of julie, compressiceps, calvus, rainbow cichlid, apistos, angelfish (most do not agree, but if it's a pair they'll be fine).

Do not put yellow labs or acei in a 20g tank, let alone both. They both require plenty of hiding spots. That would most likely reduce the water volume down to 15. There is no way anyone should recommend a 5-6" fish in 15 gallons of water. Especially not 2-3 of one and 1-2 of the other. There are no Malawi cichlids I would recommend for the tank. The only Africans would be shellies, kribs, or calvus.

In terms of new world cichlids you could try convicts or fire mouths. I have only kept convicts which seem to do alright. You just have to be very carefull with them and what you put in there with them. If you start with younster you will have better luck with the fish you can keep with them. Good luck!!
