Any angelfish fans out there have any suggestions for a newbie to angelfish? I am cycling a 40 gal tank now and plan to keep only angels and hopefully see them multiply(I have kepts many other fish over the years, but never angels)Should I buy 6? 12? size, types? ideas or suggestions appreciated.

If you intend to breed them 1 pair in the tank is best. Get six, raise them and wait for a pair to form. You may get 2 or even 3 pairs then you have to decide, which do I keep or get another tank.

With a 40 you would have room for more fish but beware, the Angels, when they spawn may kill the other fish or eat their eggs because of them.

Good luck, Mike

yep, get about 6 small ones and let them pair off. i in my opinion like the wild looking strain but u may like fancy colored ones. if they are for looks then u might go with pearlscales and/or veil tails.
