how can i sex my rams!! at first i thought "awesome i got male and female!" but after looking at the "female" i saw 2 tips coming off the tail, the "female" is larger, and doesnt have nearly as much color as the "male" who the "males" fins are tiped in bright red, while the other is dull, do the spots have anything to do with the sex? the "male" is much smaller though, and the "female" is dominate over the other, please any ideas would help!

I read somewhere once that adult male rams tended to be more colorful and have a slightly longer dorsal fin. But to be honest I'm really not sure just something I remember reading.

The coloring is very deceiving. I have 2 males and one is colorful and the other is bland. The best way is pointed caudal fin and pointed dorsal fins. Watching behavior is a good way too. Males are usually more agressive.
