Blue rams. In my experiences, kribs are a bit boisterous for a very peaceful tank.

Thanks for the information. I think I am going to try and do rams. My only problem is I am having a very hard time finding them in my area.

Do rams. They stay the smallest, are very colorful, and I think the most peaceful. Just keep on top of water quality with them.

ummm... i think you might find that neons are the angel fishes natural food source, so i dont think they'll have any trouble catching them.

Kids mom, electric yellows are beautiful in a mbuna setup but not compatible with the SA cichlids. Angels are great but wont go well in the conditions needed for africans like electric yellows.

Cichlids are divided into two broad groups;
South American Cichlids
and
African cichlids (then broken into further subgroups)

Complex-cated isn't it?

Angels and electric yellows require VASTLY different water conditions.

Your present setup is more like a community tank and most cichlids are not compatible with that sort of thing, more of a species tank situation needed for most cichlids (angels are the exception - if you like that sort of thing).

Do lots of research and then decide if you want to do a switch over (I recently switched from SA cichlids to African Mbunas and the switch took a few months, had to be patient)

You are goin to have to get rid of one of those RTBS (red tail sharks) they are aggressive to each other as they tend to mature. they are agressive to fish look like them.

Blue rams, Bolivian rams, kribs...all small and peaceful. Angels can get moodier when they get older, but I guess you need to look at it's individual personality.

I've got a fever... and the only prescription... is more cowbell!

Rams, Angels or Kribs are your best bet.

Right now I have a 46 gallon tank with a few tetras, 1 dwarf gourami, 1 kissing gourami, 1 pearl gourami, 2 red tail sharks and 1 algae eater, rosy barbs,and the scissortail. I really want to add a cichlid but I can not find a keyhole in my area, beside I read that they are shy and I did not know if the rosy barbs or the red tail sharks would drive the keyhole crazy. Any ideas on what cichlids I could get?????

Electric Yellows are quite a peaceful fish, I have 7 (in 3 tanks) including a breeding pair and never seen any of them be overly agressive
