chris1017 Fish Addict Posts: 610 Kudos: 421 Votes: 70 Registered: 09-Sep-2003	does anyone use peat to soften their water. if so how do you use yours, in the filter or under your substrate, of do you just filter the water with it before it goes in the tank. chris

That way, the tank water being filtered will have to go through the peat, thus ensuring that your tank water is softened. The pH of your water will go down, too, I believe. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
