the best answer really is none. blood parrots (which I'm assuming is what you're talking about) grow to be rather large and robust fish. they can grow to around 8" or so and are a very bulky fish. a 30 gallon really just isn't big enough to support 1 adult blood parrot. now if you plan to upgrade within around 2 years or so then you could house probably 1-4 smaller blood parrots, so long as you move them to around a 55 (for 1-2) or an even larger tank (3 or more) later on.

seconds with jason my parrots are about 7 in and are still small. before the mas...fish died in my tank my other parrots were huge. best none 4 thattank

i was guna,say you could keep a few littles ones in there for a short time.but nothing of size.
