OK it's taken me a week and a half, but finally I'm gonna post about my new little guys/gals

2 Sundays ago Houston Aquarium Society had an auction that I went to. At first I didn't plan on getting anything. Then I figured heck I could use some java moss, and then I noticed these little guys

I know I saw smaller ones than I actually won, and had thought it was them I was getting, but hey who is complainingI'm notI got three of them for $3 and felt good about it, if I spent too much on them I don't want to hear itand now they are about 2 inches in length...

For now they are being kept in a 10 gallon till I can get their permanent home set up. The 55 gallon that I originally had for my Mbuna that I grew to love. They are doing fine, and at first they were very skittish and would run and hide behind the Holey Rock that I put in the tank...But last night it was a whole different story, I went near the tank and it was, "Oh here comes Momma, momma what are you going to feed us tonight, oh come on, don't ignore us, aren't we cute, look we'll swim in circles for you." They were simply hilarious to watch, and I was actually able to feed them by hand some of the little cichlid wafers that I still had from my big guys...They are definately getting more friendly and loveable...and as soon as I get the program loaded to the laptop again (it's finally working) I'll take a few pics and post...heidi

acei are some of my favorite mbunas for sure. if you keep them in a large group they shoal or swim together. its not quite as tight as schooling. they are simply beautiful and very mild mannered. congrats.

I'll get pictures soon I promise, I just got my laptop back so I haven't loaded the camera program yetAnd I've thought of getting a few more, and it's a possibility since there will be another fish auction in October, think they would be ok, age difference wise? I would also like some yellow labs and rusties in the tank I don't want the kenyiis or cobalt blues again...so I figure I can up the numbers some on the 3 types I wantI've kept the 5 types so I know what I'm doing pretty muchor so I hope...Promise to get pics soonheidi

That's actually a really good price for 2" Acei juvies. Many LFS's charge at least twice that.

[link=this was my Bubba]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/acei.xml" style="COLOR: #FF1493[/link] and for now they look just like him but on a much smaller scale...Sorry I've found the camera, but haven't found the program I have to load (thought it was in the box) then i'll have some pics of the little ones...they are beginning to grow, and are so amusing with their antics when it's feeding time you can't help but love themheidi
