1) Can you keep just one Krib or do you need a male/female pair?
2) Can Kribs be kept with Cories?
3) Can Kribs be kept with African Dwarf Frogs?
4) Can Kribs be kept with a Dwarf Gourami?
5) Can Kribs be kept with Platies?

You can keep a single krib...it's the way to go if you don't want them to breed. Cories, ADF's and dwarf gouramis may well be OK with a single krib, but I'd worry with them if they were with a breeding pair of kribs.

I keep a breeding pair of kribs with platy's. It's a 36" long tank, and I have no problems. It might be an issue in a smaller tank.

1) Yep, they can be kept singly, or females
can be kept together.

2) I wouldnt. My sister had a pair of kribs that killed
most of her cory cats, I have 2 disabled peppers that came from her tank after the krib attack.

3) Yep, they dont seem to even notice frogs.

4 and 5) I wouldnt unless its just a single krib.
Pairs can be vicious.
With kribs its pretty much trial and error what to mix them with. Some seem pretty peaceful, others show extreme aggression.

Thanks for the replies everyone!

I'd like to try a krib but it seems like it would be wiser to leave it out for now. I definitely don't want anything to happen to my cories.

I think I'll just add the gourami to my tank for now.

Kribs are African Cichlids so shouldn't really be kept in with S.American and Asian fish as they need different water parameters for a start.

Kribs are African cichlids, but they are riverine African cichlids NOT from the rift lakes...so they can go fine with SA or Asian fish.
