After 3 days start feeding them baby brine shrimp along with hard boiled powdered egg yolk ( be careful and dont feed to much of this stuff, b/c it can cloud the water ). Then has they get bigger then feed them daphina and other larger foods.

My blue akaras have bred like 40 times hehe, What i do is keep the parents in with them, feed crushed flakes for 2 weeks, then 1/4 block of bloodworm for 5 weeks then brine shrimp...for 2-3 weeks by then they are usually big enough to sell or trade in

You can feed them Microworms for the first few days & then feed them Live Brine Shrimp. Crushed Flakes & Daphnia are fine aswell.
