I want a red devil really bad, and if i had an extra 125 gallon tank what would be a good fish to put in with it. would a flower horn be ok?

Red devils and flowerhorns would mostly fight, the odds are, they will fight with everything.

I'm keeping three oscars : 1 red devil and it seems that the oscars would triple team the devil if they come near, so that works out for me.

It's a gamble as Flowerhorns and Red Devils can either be described as "completely intolerant" to "if you provide adequate shelter for everything else in the tank, it might work out". In either case give it a try, if one fish is smaller than the other make caves that only the smaller can fit in and it could work.

i have 2 red devils about 6 inches long each in a 5 ft tank with them i have electric yellows blue acaras firemouths clown loach jewels and electric blues and they all seem to get along just fine and the red devils are larger than the other fish by about 3 inches.

why not try to breed red devils or midas? personally I'd go with midas as they grow larger than true devils. however, unless you buy from a reputed importer or breeder you'll most likely wind up with rd/midas hybrids which also grow to a good size.
