i saw one of these red tilapia today at a lfs and where pretty cheap. so i was wondering if they would okay in an aquarium?

what size would be good for tilapia?

Now i'm not overly familiar with this species of Tilapia.

However, Tilapia grow to at least 12" in most cases, and as we know the bigger the fish, the bigger the tank.

Depending on the number you want the bigger the tank gets But 125g, is the smallest i'd go for even a pair.

Someone with a bit more knowledge of this exact species maybe able to clarify a bit but size wise their very comparable to say oscars or frontosa........
