a huge sailfin pleco. these guys are the ugly ducklings of plecos. they become so nice and gracefull once they get to be large. adn they wont be pushed aroudn by big ol' cichlids like you got in there allready.

how big is your jag? I'm wondering if it has reached maturity yet because being a big softie is not typical jag behavior. even if it is mellow for a jag, adding new fish might upset things.

your setup should work with the possible exception of the jag. Personally, I'd go ahead and leave out the green terror and add a nice school of tinfoil barbs. you actually have a tank large enough to accomodate a decent sized school.

as for the sailfin, I'd be really surprised if those 3 syno's wouldn't allow a sailfin in such a large tank. just provide plenty of caves for them to hide out in and claim a territory and they should be ok. sailfins themselves can be a bit territorial so I imagine once it puts on some size it could handle itself.

ya sailfins arnt pushover by any means. dont get me wrong i got one thats a real softie when it comes to fish half his size takeing food right out of his mouth. but put a larger fish in there with him and have them try it, not a chance. ive seen him chase an oscar around a tank till the oscar dropped his algae disk.

he also allows intruders into his cave as long as they dont cause a ruckus lol. 3-4 cories pile in for shade he couldnt careless. 12 cories bouncing around in there and you see a dozen cories fly out like a bunch of clowns in a clown car but the car is on fire lol.

my jag is goin on a foot and getting schooled by a smaller oscar who he was dominant over a few inchs ago he's not much of a risk imo (but i know what jags can be like) thats cool the sailfin is in im not really a fan of barbs why would you leave the gt out would he be too mean or just your preferance?

thanks andy

how about one of the jags lil brothers any that would be more suitible i really like managuense/mota so anything similar that would fit the bill because my brother has offered him a home in his 6foot with his O (my jag i mean)
