i see these in stores all the time i think that there bolivian rams but they dont really look like them. there more colorful

They are indeed Bolivian rams.

Better colour could be attributed to less stress, better diet, different lighting.. ie. overall, better conditions.

Bolivian rams really do color up nicely when not stressed out in an overcrowded tank. They're great little fish.

I will second their community behavior. Mine was very outgoing and wanted to explore constantly. They have a great personality but should be kept with other peacful fish and sometime need dithers such as danios, neon tetras, White Clowd Mountain Minnows.
