It is a SA cichlid, and require a SA set up tank (ph, hardness, ect), gets about 5 inches with the female a little smaller, the males get extended dorsal and anal fins as they get larger, though considered advanced to expert level to breed, they breed in caves, can be agressive by nature, IMO need a 55 gal min size tank, ect. I have kept these, but have yet to breed them. They are not that attractive of a fish, as compared to others in the genus Aequidins. Some of those I like better, that are available to the hobby, are the me HTH..... There is always a bigger fish... |
