	searching for profiles
wish-ga Mega Fish Dial 1800-Positive-Posts Posts: 1198 Kudos: 640 Registered: 07-Aug-2001	When people post the scientific names for the cichlids the search function on this site doesn't locate them. Have this prob with the common names to. Is the search function being refined at the moment? Just wondering if others have this prob too? thx in advance ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ My fish blow kisses at me all day long ~~~

It's sensitive to spelling, so if you misspell the name it won't come up. But even then it's usually not too tough, albeit a little more time consuming, to just browse throught profiles until I find (or don't find) what I'm looking for.

I have tried with a few different names and I doubt that each one had a sp error, although that could be a coincidence, possible but not probable. I have even tried with trying searches with words I knew would yield a few entries; electric electric yellow blue Ones that I am sure are in there and nothing comes up. I end up looking through all the cichlid pages until I see the common names, very time consuming. Without an accompanying article, their profiles don't help much. FP may have fewer, but quality reigns over quantity, and the quantity is increasing almost daily!
