I think it should work fine. Firemouths are not overly agressive cichlids. And the water parameters would be similar. It might be better to stick with one Firemouth to avoid creating a mated pair, which could become agressive if they decide to spawn.

It's hard to tell, sometimes you run into an overly agressive firemouth. Actually from reading posts here that seems to be happening more often lately.

But in general, no it shouldn't be a problem. The angels & gouramis are at the top of the tank, I'd just make sure to have some sort of caves for the BN if you decided to try it. And a backup plan

Most, but not all, South American cichlids are fine with other fish. It is african cichlids that shouldnt be mixed with non african fish.
Kribensis are one of the African Cichlids I would never mix with non-African fish as I have seen them personally go on killing sprees in my sister tanks, wiped out almost her whole population. This was a male Krib that did it, after he killed his own mate.
Not a nice fish to keep with a community. I would only keep Kribs with Kribs.
Firemouths should be OK, just make sure you get a nice little one, so he can grow up with the other fish and be used to them. This should lessen any aggression.

I had a very aggressive firemouth.
You may have better luck, but I wouldn't chance it.

Before even answering whether to add more fish....
Someone shoulda asked you THAT question..

How many angels, gouramis etc do you have in your tank ?

She hasn't gotten the firemouth yet, she wouldn't be able to tell if it's agressive. Personally, I'd only be worried about the angel. Everything else would work. Just go down the the pet store and watch the fish. Pick out one that seems mild-temepered only after monitering it for a few days. But, numbers are very important too. We need to know how many fish you have.

Kribs are fine with other fish, just don't get male and female. Heck, don't even really get females. IME, males are far less aggressive than females. I have 2 males that play with my panda cories. I used to have a female, but she killed two cories and her smaller male counterpart so she had to go.

Firemouths should be ok w/ angels and gouramis. It's the angels and gouramis that could have the problem as gouramis can be nasty fish if some fish invades their space.

For the record, I had no trouble keeping blue gouramis or plecos with blood parrots, which makes a firemouth seem like a kitten.
