ok, next week the tank gets a fish make over, (just did a tank make over) and im getting rid of some/most of the fish atleast the ones in the 29 gallon.

im not sure if its over stocked or not havent counted heads in a while

but after i sell some of the fish, the ones that will be left are....
-pair of rams (not sure if m/f)
-mating pair of bettas (acting like cichlids)
-5 corys (3 schwartzi 1 each of peppered + agazzie)
-3 zebra danios
-1 male cherry barb
-5 ottos
and maybe 2 each of platys, and guppies

im looking for a pair or group spawner, but i want a small cichlid that will spawn readly, and if it gets ruined, they will spawn again, doesnt have to be colorfull or anything, i just want somthing that i dont have to do much of anything to get it to spawn, i can care for the fry and such after, and can have a take ready for if its a mouth brooder..im also thinking of getting a couple more rams to see if i can ge them to spawn too

thanx so much

A 29 doesn't have much of a footprint, and with Rams already in there and a few bottom-dwellers, I think your best bet is to stick with the rams and leave them the territorial room they need.

It's better to add some Corydoras, as you don't have any schools & Corydoras like to stay in groups.

hard water, and i think i want to stay with a bio type, based around the rams, i decided i wanted nothing to do with my gram for a while (irritated me by the way she treats my mom) but my mom said she will bring me up some time in the next couple of weeks, and im probly shipping off more fish by the time that time rolls around, and the corys r the ones that were left from their schools, they r getting moved to a diff tank soon, so im not getting any more for a bit, (so darnd hard to catch them)

yeah i know about those speedy corys.I think you'll have no trouble finding a good cichlid that enjoys hard water, most do.
hope to see you in chat soon,

it took quite a long time to acclimate them but the store had them in hardish water (if that makes sence) but they loved my tank when i first added them, but now, i never see em im waiting for the plants to grow, but first im gunna have to up the lighting just got 20 bucks for helping with a party so i might get the lights sooner that i thought being an only child is starting to sound wonderful (it was a grad/going away party for the older sibs(twins))

im also thinking of setting up a fish lawn sale..not sure yet..will make another post for that
